"I often climb mountains and beating the cold is always something of a mission, cold feet I find being especially uncomfortable. Knowing I was going to Everest in April/May, when I saw your boots I thought just maybe they would be the solution. (The yaks carry to Advanced Base Camp (elevation 6400m) so the additional weight was not an issue. Above ABC I use lightweight down booties - which are not nearly as effective).
Well, now that I have returned (and successful trip it was), I can confirm that your boots were the envy of ABC Everest. I could pad around the messtent quite comfortably down to minus 20 C, below that still being OK, but with the addition of a couple of pairs of thick socks.
